Canadian architecture firm 5468796 Architecture and design advocacy group Storefront Manitoba celebrated the culmination of Winnipeg's Architecture Fringe Festival and the 2014 Royal Architectural Institute of Canada's Festival of Architecture by transforming the Étienne Gaboury-designed Esplanade Riel pedestrian bridge (2003) into a giant pop-up dining room and inviting guests to experience and discuss the power of architecture and design.

RAIC honours Winnipeg human rights museum architect

The U.S. architect who designed the Canadian Museum for Human Rights in Winnipeg is in the city to receive a prestigious honour from his peers. Antoine Predock came to Winnipeg to receive an honorary fellowship from the Royal Architectural Institute of Canada, as well as to take part in the institute's Festival of Architecture.

The best (and worst) of Toronto architecture

New Brunswick architectural firms recognized for community building and excellence

The Honourable Graydon Nicholas, Lieutenant-Governor of New Brunswick, recently presented the 2014 Lieutenant Governor's Award of Excellence in Architecture to Architecture 2000 Inc., now Stantec Architecture Ltd. This award was received for their design of the Emergency Response Services & Town Hall Facilities in Sackville, New Brunswick.
